SIGN-UP TO PLAY GOLF!...The 2017 TCA GOLF SCRAMBLE will be held at Barton Creek's Palmer Lakeside, one of four championship golf courses at the resort. Overlooking Lake Travis from elevated hill tops, Palmer Lakeside is a hidden retreat designed by Arnold Palmer.
The golf scramble is scheduled for a shot gun start at noon on Monday, April 24, 2017. Play to WIN prizes on your registration form by signing up for the TCA 2017 Golf Scramble. Transportation from the hotel will be provided. You are asked to check-in thirty minutes prior to start. Limited to the first 90 players, who must also be registered to attend the Convention, teams will consist of A-B-C-D players. Prizes will be awarded for 1st place team, 2nd place team, 3rd place team, longest drive and closest to the hole... and more! The fee to play is $100.00/per player, and includes green fee, cart and range balls. Beverages will be complimentary. Please register to play golf by the April 4, 2017, deadline. To assist us in setting up the tournament fairly and correctly, please indicate on the registration form your handicap, score and requested teams/pairings. POLICY MEETINGS!...Committee Meetings will take place on Tuesday morning. If you are not already involved in a Standing Committee of the TCA, we invite you to sit in on those of interest to you and become involved in the policy making decisions affecting our cotton industry! If you are a merchant/primary buyer member of this association, please volunteer as a voting member to serve on the committee of your choice. If you are an Associate member of this association, please let us know where you would like to serve in a non-voting, advisory position. A List of Committee Members are posted on our website in the left-hand margin. Please send all committee requests to email@example.com. The Texas Cotton Association policy meetings are designed to begin discussion and adopt resolutions ultimately used to establish cotton industry standards and procedures. Find your place to serve! SHOOTING SPORTS... Excercise your 2nd Amendment right! The bus will depart the hotel entrance for the shooting range at 11:30 a.m. Cost is $100 per player and includes transportation and refreshments on your way to the range prior to and after the shoot. We will return around 4:00 p.m. Top guns awarded on Tuesday night at the President’s Dinner.

GENERAL SESSION!... On Wednesday, April 26, 2017 during a seated breakfast General Session, TCA President, Raymond Faus of Omnicotton Inc., Plano, Texas, will preside and will present his President’s address to members. We are pleased to announce that President & CEO of the National Cotton Council, Memphis, TN., Dr. Gary Adams, will address the convention.TCA Immediate Past President, David Edwards of ECOM U.S.A., Inc., Dallas, Texas, will provide the invocation. TCA Vice President, Angie Goodman of ACG Cotton Marketing, Lubbock, Texas, will conduct introductions. We will also hear from industry experts including ASCA Chairman, Hope Brooks of Cargill Cotton Co., Memphis. As other speakers are confirmed we will notfy you!
EXECUTIVE SESSION!...Merchant and Primary Buyer voting members are encouraged to designate at least one member from your firm to attend the Executive Session immediately following the General Session to cast your firm's vote in order for TCA policy to be adopted. It is imperative that we have a quorum for this meeting. Please R.S.V.P. to the Executive Session located on the registration forms so that we can count on your presence.

CONVENTION REGISTRATION!...Registering to attend the 106th Annual Convention is a breeze when you use our secure auto pay feature! Follow the quick links here for the online registration form or forms to fax and mail. These forms are also located under "Convention 2017" in the drop down menu located in the header on our website as well as links in the right hand margin on the convention page. The convention TCA member registration fee is $295.00 for each member firm representative - TCA Merchants, Primary Buyers and Associate members. The non-TCA member rate is $395 per firm representative. Spouse registration is waived unless your spouse is a firm representative. Guests are complimentary and include those from Press, government, affiliated cotton organizations and executive leadership from other cotton organizations, honorary members, and retired from industry. Registrations received after the April 4th deadline will be increased by $25 per registered guest. Our pre-registration procedure is designed to make it easy for you to pick-up your convention materials and your name badge when you arrive. It will also help us to guarantee meal functions and meeting room set-ups. Your registration entitles you to a name badge which will serve as your ticket to all functions, including the Golf Scramble! HOTEL RESERVATIONS!... Hotel room reservations may be made by calling OMNI reservations at 512.329.4616, referring to The Texas Cotton Association's room block or by making your reservations through the hotel designated webpage by clicking on this link: TCA ONLINE HOTEL RESERVATION. We have secured an excellent TCA rate at this luxury hotel of $179 + tax + 10% resort fee for standard room accommodations. For double room accomodations the rate is $189 + tax +10% resort fee. Based upon availability, guest rooms in our block are available three days prior to our meeting and three days after our meeting. Check-in is 4:00 p.m., and check-out is 11:00 a.m. The 10% resort fee applied per registered room (not individual) includes toll free, credit card and local calls, basic internet service, fitness center and steam room access, in-room coffee and tea, self-parking, on-property transportation to nature trails, miniature golf, gratuities for golf bag handling and housekeeping personnel. The hotel requires one night's deposit at time of booking. Any guaranteed reservation not cancelled seven days prior to arrival, will be subject to one night room and cancellation fee. Our agenda will follow the usual 3 day schedule opening with the 2017 Golf Scramble on Monday, April 24, followed by the Welcome Reception on Monday night. Tuesday morning, April 25, a networking breakfast lounge will be provided for attendees prior to and during committee meeting breaks. Following policy meetings, join planned activities - Yoga Class in the Spa with the First Lady, Kristy Faus or SKEET at Cooperhead Creek or an afternoon on your own. The Transportation reception on the Governor's Terrace will begin at 6:00 p.m., followed by the President's seated dinner in the Governor's Ballroom from 7-9:30 p.m. Get onboard and party with our entertainment at the President's Dinner provided by "MEMPHIS TRAIN REVUE" of Austin, Texas, performing this one night only as "TEXAS TRAIN REVUE"! On Wednesday morning, April 26, we will convene the General Session in a seated breakfast. Immediately following, the Executive Session for voting merchants and Primary Buyer members will meet to consider proposed convention resolutions. The new board of directors will briefly meet following the convention. We expect to conclude the General Session by noon and the Executive Session by 1:30 p.m. Remember room rates are good three days before and after the convention, so come early, stay and play!
