TEXAS TECH ATHLETICS and the TEXAS COTTON INDUSTRY present the fifth annual nationally televised "CELEBRATE COTTON GAME", as the Red Raiders take on the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs on Saturday, September 17, at Jones AT & T Stadium at 6:00 p.m. Plains Cotton Growers invites YOU to join the tail gate party before the game! "CELEBRATE COTTON" is the theme! TEXAS COTTON is #1 in TEXAS and #1 in the U.S.A.! A tentative agenda is available in the drop down menu in the header of our website under Flow Marketing Meeting 2016.

The FLOW / MARKETING MEETING, a seated breakfast program, will begin at 8:30 a.m., in the Overton hotel's Sunset A Ballroom on the lobby level. Raymond Faus of OMNICOTTON U.S.A., Inc., Plano, Texas, will preside. The Flow/Marketing meeting is not just for merchant members. It is primarily designed to encourage discussion among cotton industry stakeholders involved in the movement of Texas Cotton. TCA members are known to have an impeccable reputation of supplying grade A Texas cotton when our customers demand it. For over forty years, the Flow/Marketing Meeting, has proven to be the right time and place to communicate and resolve problematic flow specific issues prior to harvest. But WE ALL need to DIG DEEPER! This year, the first part of our seated breakfast program will include a quick overview of up to the minute estimated quality and anticipated yield reports for this year's crop, as well as other pertinent topics affecting the marketability and flow of Texas cotton. After the brief informational session, we will move into a Town Hall Transportation meeting format where we will be informed about emerging issues, gauge where the industry stands and identify and implement solutions to the problems we face. The Town Hall setting will consist of a moderator managing the session and cotton transportation experts representing trucks, steamships, warehouses, ports and merchants, responding to questions presented. Questions will be gathered in advance of the meeting from each segment to be posed to other segments by completing the TOWN HALL TRANSPORATION QUESTIONNAIRE circulated to all members and others, registered or not, to participate in the Town Hall Transportation meeting. We will also accomodate questions from the floor and invite the audience to provide input. It is imperative that each voice count from each segment so that the entire cotton industry will benefit from these talks and perfect the movement of our cotton to market. We believe that this format will bring back a dialogue that has died over the years. Your attendance and participation will help us WIN a Town Hall VICTORY that will benefit ALL participating stakeholders in the movement of TEXAS COTTON! Let's join hands in the movement!

In preparation of the meeting, we also request that you reference a report published by the Transportation Strategic Planning Committee (TSPC) a couple of years back, designed to reach beyond our membership and include a broader spectrum of our industry stakeholders for comment. You may reference the report and blog by clicking this link: Transportation Strategic Planning Committee .
